I know! It's so great! I can't wait to see Ranger... *drool* but it probably won't be as good as the imagination... especially if they cast wrong I was just going to ask--who do you think she be cast? I was thinking Eddie Cibrian for Joe. I can't think of anyone for Ranger. Stephanie I think Marisa Tomei. For Lula I was thinking Sherri Shepard from the TV show Less Than Perfect. You can see info on her at www.imdb.com/name/nm0791868/What ideas does everyone else have?

I can't imagine Reese Witherspoon as doing all that good of a job as Stephanie. If anyone I think they should choose either Sandra Bullock or Julia Roberts (think Pretty Woman). They've got the right look (gorgeous, dark, curly hair, a little tough) and I think they would both do a phenomenal job. I don't think I'd want to go see it if I think that the choices for actors/ actresses were mediocre at best.
I think I'm warming up to the idea of Antonio as Ranger. All I know is that the idea of someone like Ranger walking around on this earth gives me hope for our survival (we shall always have at least one man who is worthy of having his blood line continued).
As for Morelli I'm a little bias because I've got a little bit of a thing for Michael Vartan. He makes me quiver. Okay. That was a bit of a stretch but he is (or I should say was) good eye candy on Alias and about 99.9 percent of why I watched the show. I doubt I'll continue watching it without him. How sad is that? Anyhow I think Morelli will be the hardest to cast because it's got to be a guy who is devilishly good looking in a way that appeals to a lot of women, not just a select group, and that kind of hotness may only be fiction.
The JE site has listed these as the who-would-you-choose options for different folks for the movies:
Ranger [drool]:
The Rock Vin Diesel Antonio Banderas Benjamin Bratt Oded Fehr Jimmy Smits Ice-T Andy Garcia Steven Segal Keith Hamilton Cobb
Stephanie:
Sandra Bullock Marisa Tomei Leah Remini Julia Roberts Janeane Garofalo Debra Messing Heather Paige Kent Drew Barrymore Lauren Graham Meg Ryan
Morelli:
Lance Storm Nicholas Cage George Clooney Benjamin Bratt Ben Affleck Adrian Paul Jon Bon Jovi Hugh Jackman Antonio Sabato Jr. Matt LeBlanc
Lula:
The armored car driver from Lethal Weapon 3 Queen Latifah Starr Jones Lareta Devine Whoopi Mo'Nique Jackee' Missy Elliot Robert's partner from Everybody Loves Raymond Pine Sol lady
Grandma Mazur:
Ann M. Guilbert (Yetta, from The Nanny) Estelle Getty Billie Birdie (Grandma from 16 Candles) Betty White Ellen Albertini Dow (Wedding Singer, Road Trip) Cloris Leachman Doris Roberts Shirley Maclaine Olympia Dukakis Debbie Reynolds
Vinnie:
Steve Buscemi Danny DeVito Joe Pesci Dan Hedeya (Nick Tortelli, from Cheers) Joe Pantoliano Saverio Guerra (Bob, from Becker) David Spade Jon Lovitz Johnny Depp Paul Reubens
Just trying to offer some other options for people to think about for the various main characters. I assume from those being listed that those will be the main characters (Lula, Steph, Ranger, and Morelli were the obvious ones) but I'm not sure if they're really going with the plot of One for the Money or if they're going to pick their favorite book and do that plot. I can't see them trying to do all the books (it would be funny and enjoyable, if they chose the right people and had the right screenplay writers hoepfully with lots of JE's help, but it would take forever!).

Yay! I can't wait until the movie comes out! I just hope they cast the right people. Without the right people, the movie just wouldn't be a great! Also, I really hope that the person who 'adapts' the book does a good job, and doesn't cut out too many parts. Hopefull too, the movie won't be rated higher than 14A.

I was looking on the internet movie database. Just for fun I typed in the title One for the Money and there isn't any information but it has a release date of 2009. It says there is more information about in www.imdbpro.com,but you have to pay $12.95 a month you can also get a 2 week free trial of it. If anyone finds more information on it, please be sure to pass it on. Christine

I signed up for the 2 week free trial on imdbpro.com, the One for the Money movie is in development and to be released in 2009.
The plot summary is:
An unemployed lingerie buyer's only chance out of her financial dilemma is to work for her cousin's bail bond business. Her first assignment is to collect a $10,000 bond forfeited on a murder suspect, who turns out to be the same guy who took her virginity in high school.
I hope everything goes well, and we'll finally get to see the movie.
As for my choices on the cast.
Stephanie: Sandra Bullock or Carla Gugino Joe: Josh Duhamel, Paul Walker or Hugh Jackman Ranger: Antonio Banderas Lula: Queen Latifah Vinnie:Steve Buscemi Grandma Mazur:Betty White

I think "Bombshell Bounty Hunter" would make a great series. Yeah, I'd love a movie, but I think Kate Beckinsale would be a better Stephanie, as well as Jay Tavere as Ranger. The series would have endless possibilities, as well as being a helluva lot better than "Dog, the Bounty Hunter"!
