Sorry, once i start talking i just keep going when i said: Was that u who asked Janet and Alex that q in the Evanovich Q & A page? I noticed someone asked them that, apparently they said they dont know the author but would take her out for pizza if they met her. I was refering to ur comment on the book Dark Fever

That's ok. I usually just look at the 10 most recent posts so it all looks the same to me.

I haven't read her site yet but yep, I did put that question in. I just thought it was interesting.
I actually never liked reading much. I guess it has something to do with the fact that I can't do anything else while I am reading. When I am watching tv, I do laundry, clean the house etc.. I have kids now though and watching tv is hard because let's face it, anything I want to watch is typically not appropriate ( the oldest is 3 ). Then I discovered audio books. It's even better than tv. I can walk around, cook, clean and do basically anything I want while being entertained and no else has to hear so I can listen stuff like Lula talking. I don't even have to be able to see. When I discovered the plum books, I got into them and couldn't put the ipod down. My husband laughed at me but my house was NEVER cleaner with every chore done! ;D I would bounce down the stairs after putting the kids to bed and be like, " I'm going to do *** now " and reach for my ipod. My husband would just shake his head and smile.

lol thats awesome, i suppose if i didnt have the time to sit and read audio would b the way to go. I live at home with my fiance and my parents so i guess if they could get me to do a bit more house work they wouldnt care what means it took me to get there. So how many kids have u got if the oldest is 3? I check the evanovich website daily just to see what the new quote is, i miss the books while im not reading them, and the quote helps me remember odd bits from them.

I have two. They are 1 and 3 and they keep me pretty busy. I also work full time so it's pretty much craziness all the time. My husband rather likes my audio book habit. It makes me happy to do chores. It's also great for driving. I am a very calm a nd happy driver when there is a good story going on. I will more than content to be in the slow lane and waiting patiently. I just try to be careful when I am being patient to see if ( say during a turn ) there isn't someone behind me who is not in as patient a mood I am happy because I can be completely guilt free about it too. Libraries actually have a great selection of audio books. My local one has the entire plum collection so it's nice. You can even just download them straight from our library website into your itunes. How great is that!

Wow you do sound busy. I've never looked at the audio section at my library. Im not too sure how the whole ipod thing works, i dont have one myself. How do u get the audio from the library onto your ipod if ur not downloading it from the library? I own all the plum books, i couldnt stand to have to return them, i plan on reading them all again. Though the first ones are not as good now cause ranger isnt really in them till the later ones.

You just put the cd into your computer and itunes takes care of it for you. I also like as backgound noise. Once I have heard a story before, it becomes like a tv going on in the background or music, I am barely paying attention. I rather like it. There is also a bonus where at the end of most of the recent audio books there is an interview with Janet. The only problem is finding books I like. I have liked everyhing Evanovich so far but about 75% of the book I start, I don't finish. I just get bored and move on to the next one. She says in her interviews that she learned how to write by watching actors and not as a typical writer. Maybe that is why her stuff is fun to listen to. I have tried to sit through a lot of books that you see are "famous" and I was about ready to pass out cold.

I like the library too for that reason. Now, I know I have no problem going out and paying full price for the audio book for 15. I know I'll like it or heck, at least finish. If she blows off Ranger I might not like it Anyways, if you don't really finish 75% of the stuff, it's really hard to justify that. So I will try stuff out at the library and then I will buy stuff that is from the same series or author.

Ok, cool so i guess if i had an ipod it would be easy. Ooh the interviews would be interesting, has she hinted about any endings or anything exciting? I am not really fussy with the books i read, obviously if i like it i read it quicker than book i dont like that take me weeks to get through. Librarys are cool, it is a bit like try before you buy. I have 2 other fav authors as well as janet, they are Iris Johansen and Tami Hoag. I think you might like them if you havent already 'read' them. With Iris Johansen though u wanna read them in the order they were published cause the characters sort of continue through her books. But she does have a diff main character in each book mostly. I did read them a bit out of order so its no biggy, but sometime they relate back to previous stories. But yeah i have most of Tami Hoags books and some of Iris Johansens, i just need money now to buy the others lol. Saving for a house sux

The interviews are ok. They aren't amazing. Mostly she talks about how she started writing by learning from an acting coach. She talks about how Ranger grew into a more desirable character because she didn't want to just have Steph completely get together with Joe, that would get boring. They were mentioning that she needs to get Ranger in a tux, about how hot that would be. She talks about meeting bounty hunters and stuff for research before starting the books. She doesn't really give away much in terms of hints or anything. It's nothing I would rush out and get just for the interview but it's nice to get an extra bonus when you are all sad the story is over Two of the books had the same interview at the end. And, they are only in the numbered books, the later ones. The in between books have never had interviews. Do you think Diesel was serious about the Lexxus? I wasn't sure. I asked about that on the website but they didnt' answer me. I was curious as to whether or not that was a real "negotiation" or that was Steph playing the part.

Nah, those authors are not funny, they are the mystery/adventure/crime/romance sort. Its been a while since i read Tami Hoags stuff so dont quote me on that lol.
I Dont remember anything about a Lexxus, could you jog my memory? It was in Plum Lucky hey? I might have to read it again. I always find i remember diff things from the books each time i read them, its awesome. Thats why they never get boring well the plum ones that is.

I tried to send you a personal message through this board to answer your question. I wasn't sure if people wanted me to write much about what is in the books for everyone to see.
