I loved the book too. The best part of Janet Evanovich's writing is that you laugh out loud.

This was pretty much my fave book. I'm sure it was hell on both Morelli and Ranger with her being gone. Ranger tried to have so many thing in place to protect her ... phone, tracking, etc. The time in the apartment where she had to choose between protecting the man entering her apartment and Ranger's little girl. I was literally holding my breath!!!

OMG it was my fav book too, i loved how steph got kidnapped and joe and ranger were so worried. I love how ranger told steph that he's kept himself emotionally distanced from his daughter, but he said he's not distanced from steph. That was awesome. When he got shot i literally cried, i never imagined that would have been what happened i was also holding my breath before he walked in, i didnt want either guy hurt. It also had the best ending scene i reckon with steph visiting ranger and it was just awesome, best ending yet

I agree that this book had a great ending with Ranger feeding her dessert because that is what Ranger is for her. I also thought it was very emontional when she finally told Joe that she loved him. I have no idea what Janet will do next with these characters but I can't wait for Fearless Fourteen. OMG it was my fav book too, i loved how steph got kidnapped and joe and ranger were so worried. Thats so true, ranger is like stephs desert, thats how she relates him. Thats why i think she is having trouble because desert is not your main and i think she knows that, but she does love her cake, so maybe desert will win in the end, who knows. Yeah it was good for her to finally say it, at the same time she was thinking how she loves ranger too. I think its 50/50 which way janet will go, i will honestly be happy with either direction, but i would like steph to give ranger a full go before she decides. So i guess we will just have to wait and see.

I felt so horrible for Stephanie at that moment when she had to choose between them. This is probably my favorite book so far.

I liked this book too. I nearly cried at the end when he got shot ( I do feel sorry for Ranger though because she teases him quite a bit. Im sure she feels the same way to, but it always worse for guys you know.

Why doesnt Ranger stick a tracking dot at the back of her hairline or something? Ive seen that in a movie before. He could go to kiss her or something, and place it there without her knowledge. Then he would never loose her... although its almost a little eerie sometimes that he follows her around so much without her knowledge... spooky

At this point, I think Ranger isn't spying on her anymore. She has accepted and even likes that she's being tracked by Rangeman. I don't think he would secretly do it anymore.

I agree. I think steph has finally realised how dangerous her job actually is, and is thankful that ranger uses his men to help protect her. I love that he can make her feel so safe, and she doesnt have to worry soo much

I just think it's a testamant to Ranger's ability to handle her. She let and likes it when Ranger watches out for her but gets mad at Joe everytime he does something to achieve the same goal.

OMG! I loved this book. I always end up really liking the main men in the books I read. I liked both Joe and Ranger at first, but I think the calm is so much sexier than the Italian rage from Joe. I loved the ending, but I'm a little disappointed that she didn't get Ranger and Steph a little closer. It takes a lot of the mystery out of him...but he still has so many secrets...Joe is less interesting because he doesn't seem like he has that much he could really hide from her, except work related stuff.
I think that she likes Ranger because he doesn't deter her from doing anything...he just has the man power to keep her alive. Joe is stuck to worry even with the connections he has in the police department. I honestly was hoping Joe walked in, I didn't want to see Ranger hurt at all.

I thought her reaction to seeing Ranger shot was telling. She couldn't breath, she needed oxygen and she couldn't even hear Joe talking to her.
My stomach was in knots waiting to see what would happen as that door opened. JE did a fabulous job on that scene.
