I am saying, no human man could ever live up to the Ranger I have in my head so if one were "found", it would ruin it. I am not sure I would even like the movie because of that.
I saw Harry Potter 1 the move before I read anything. So, I can completely accept all the main characters. But, after the 1st movie, I read the books and I have to say, the casting feels completely wrong after that. I thought Fleur and that annoying professor were just not as attractive as they should be. I couldn't stand it. I think since I have these images of all these Plum characters in my head, it would be hard to live up to them.
Although, I do think Sandra Bullock would be perfect.

i read all the harry potter books i was a fan, before the movies, and i have to say i really enjoyed the movies. Obviously they had to miss bits from the books else the movies would b never ending. It was sad that the original dumbledore actor died so he couldnt finish the series, cause he was purfect for the role.
I agree no human man that i know at present could take the role of ranger and make me happy. there might b a man out there perfect, but i dont know him yet. I actually think sandra bullock is getting too old to take the role if it was offered, i was thinking more along the lines of jessica alba or someone a bit younger for steph.

I was out of commission with the flu for 2 weeks and it looks like the board livened up a bit. It's nice to see but it seems to be slowing down again. Maybe it's me I love Jessica Alba. I am still mad at Fox for leaving Dark Angel in cliff hanger and canceling it. But I am not sure I see her as Steph. She is very attractive and sort of tough. I see Steph, as being neither. I figure the only reason these guys all like her is because she's a bounty hunter, because she's goofy. I don't see her being super model gorgeous and turning heads wherever she goes. More cute and less hot. I also don't see Jessica as "goofy". Now, Sandra Bulluck is very very goofy, but I agree, getting a little old for the role. Regardless, my worry with a movie, is that I cannot see how they could make all of us happy with casting. I think Ranger is the hardest. For some reason, I see Joe as being more average good looking guy with dark hair, an easy find in Hollywood. I have come up with a great way of listening to book 14. It's going to hard because I might be able to get my hands on the audio book before July4th weekend, but we are taking a trip to FL. I figure, if I wait and listen to it then, I could probably make it all the way to florida without even minding because I won't want to stop driving so I can keep listening

lol thats a great plan, though u should take rest stops if its far else you'll get there and you'll be too tired. But good planning.
Sorry to hear about ur flu, hope you're feeling better, its always the change of seasons that gets too me, but i havent caught anything yet, fingers crossed.
I understand your concerns about jessica alba, and i did love dark angel too. But i have seen her in a movie (cant remember the name) where she was really ditsy, and boy did she pull it off good. So i can definately see her in the role of steph. I agree Joe could really be any cute hunk in hollywood (paul walker), but i have no idea who they could or should use as ranger, he is definately someone different he has to be perfect. But i do doubt they could make everyone happy.

When I was reading the books I pictured Stephanie as a dark haired Kerri Russell. I think that's her name. She played the lead in Felicity. She's about the right age, is an awesome actress, and has the hair. As for Ranger, I thought he was older until Steph guessed his age closer to hers and then he said he was 2 months older than her. If he were older I'd say Jimmy Smits. He's awesome, got a great build, and can play a character trying to be and do right in less than ideal circumstances. Since Smits is in his - what late 40 or early 50s?- I doubt that would work if they stayed true to the charchter as written (probably a first in Hollywood). He's been in West Wing, NYPD Blue, etc. Very intense and talented guy. I know Smits isn't Cuban - I think he's part Puerto Rican. Cuban men tend to be shorter than the average Joe (American Joe, or Joe from the series - take your pick) but most of what they've shown of Ranger's heritage seems to mirror most close knit ethnic communities and that's something Smits could do in his sleep. And hell, we could do a lot worse than Smits passing as a Cuban - Hello Gorgeous Alert! I kind of pictured Joe as a cross between this kid I knew in high school (totally unkempt curly hair, looked like he needed to shave since kindergarten nap time) and Kyle Chandler. He's the guy on Friday Nights Light and was on Home Front. He's been in other stuff but I don't watch much TV - even for yummy men like Chandler. ;D And while Chandler is very talented his demeanor and intensity level is very different from Smits'. Again, and actor who plays characters who tries to do whats right but they're often boxed in by the larger roles and social mores. Plus he's got that cute, I might have been a wild child, but now I'm only evil on weekends look about him. I know if I had these two both romantically interested in me I'd be one very happily confused babe And on that thought, Night all, Quirkygal.
